BLUEsat’s Satellites division is dedicated to CubeSat satellite hardware development. Following the completion of the group’s first satellite in mid-2013, the team has adopted the CubeSat platform and has begun design and development of individual subsystems. The team aims to build a 10x10x20cm^3 nanosatellite for space research, capable of performing various space-related experiments.

Drawing on students with interests in satellite technology, control systems and microelectronics, the Satellite team offers BLUEsat members a chance to work hands-on to design, build and test the subsystems that allow satellites to survive, navigate and operate in one of the harshest environments found in engineering.By doing so, we intend to lower the barrier to space, demonstrating that space-related projects can be completed by undergraduate students.
